Jinx's Top 63 Mario Party Boards

Peach'sBirthdayCake.png

43. Peach's Birthday Cake

This board is quite frustrating, but then again, it isn't Wario's Battle Canyon. The seed roulette is very annoying, especially since you have to pay 10 coins and risk getting sent to Bowser to lose even more coins. The worst part, by far, are the Piranha Plants, because it is very easy for players who win minigames to plant a Piranha Plant and steal stars later on, making you lose all what you've acquired for 20 coins.

Pirate_Dream_Party.jpg

42. Pirate Dream

This board gets repetitive so fast that it makes getting shuffled by a Prankster Assist Liepard look pleasant. The main reason for this is the ? Space that triggers boulders to force you to start all over again. If a star is in the boulder's route, then prepare for a world of pain.

Futuredream.jpg

41. Future Dream

This board is a bit big and you have to rely on teleportation to travel across the board. This board's decent concept was ruined by a rather poor execution because of this. At least the ? Spaces weren't so bad, and the rockets were the only notable thing in this board that makes it stand out.

Gcanal.jpg

40. Grand Canal

This board is just OK. It doesn't have as as many frustrating moments like Pyramid Park, but it doesn't have any noticeable parts that make it stick out from the rest. The bridges can be annoying, especially during Bowser Time, and the ? Space on Pisa isn't that helpful either, sending you back to start.

DKTT.png

39. DK's Treetop Temple

This is a good but not great board in MP8. The classic star system gives some degree of enjoyability. The water slide is also a nice addition for some coins. It doesn't have any noticeable flaws like Bowser's Warped Orbit and Goomba's Booty Boardwalk, but there are MP8 boards which appeal more to me than this one.

MP7_Bowser'sEnchantedInferno!.jpg

38. Bowser's Enchanted Inferno

We come to the first good Bowser board on this list. This board doesn't offer anything too spectacular, but then again it isn't horrible like Bowser's Warped Orbit. The only trouble comes when you're on the star's island during Bowser Time, but other than that, it's enjoyable.

#37
Mp9toadroad.jpg

37. Toad Road

This board is one of the better boards in MP9. There's not a lot that can mess you up to the point of total frustration, and you actually need skill for the bosses unlike Bob-omb Factory or Bowser Jr. The only things that might change the game around are the Bowser Spaces at the end, but even those aren't that bad considering Bowser's softer events in MP9.

#36
MPDSDKBoard.jpg

36. DK's Stone Statue

This board is rather enjoyable to play, unlike Kamek's Library. The ? Spaces can be annoying, especially Dry Bones, the barrels, and backtracking, but it isn't as centralizing as split sections relying on teleportation books. The only problem is that it is very short, which can be repetitive after a while.

Toy_Dream_Party.jpg

35. Toy Dream

This board is in the middle of my list in terms of MP5 boards. It is rather small, but then again, it's a basic board. Riding the train for coins is a neat addition, but the falling blocks can be annoying. At least there aren't any boulders that increase repetition or sheer reliance on transporters to move around the board.

ChillyWaters_MP3.png

34. Chilly Waters

This board is in the middle of my list in terms of MP3 boards. The snowball action can be annoying if you don't know the timing, and the ice rink is especially a pain. It doesn't have anything that's especially frustrating like quicksand or Monty Moles, but there are boards which I like better.

#33
EternalStar.png

33. Eternal Star

This board can be frustrating to play through at first, but once you know the path, it is rather enjoyable. The dice battle with Koopa Kid is a nice touch, although it usually gives you the victory. Bowser's warp switch can be annoying, but this board is a decent way to end MP1 with its intense moments.

#32
SGPE.png

32. Shy Guy's Perplex Express

This board is rather enjoyable to play. The Lucky Space has a rather neat idea, leaving you behind to the Lucky Route and later picking you up. The Magikoopa can shake things up by changing the train alignments, which can be annoying if your car is directly behind the engineer. It doesn't have any noticeable flaws unlike Bowser's Warped Orbit and Goomba's Booty Boardwalk, which makes it one of the better MP8 boards.

CCday.JPG

31. Clockwork Castle

All the boards in MP6 are good for my enjoyment, and here is the first of these boards on this list. DK and Bowser were executed rather well here, chasing DK in the day while escaping Bowser at night. The only irritation was the pipes, but other than that it was a good conclusion to MP6.

#30
Western_Land_map.png

30. Western Land

This board is very fun to play. Steamer provides you a way to transport around the board while messing up any opponents it hits. Even though the services aren't that helpful, this board has nothing frustrating like centralizing ? Spaces or cannons. The theme of the Wild West is executed well, making this one of the better boards in MP2.

#29
TTday.JPG

29. Towering Treetop

This board does the whole classic star system rather well, though in MP6 standards it just beats Clockwork Castle in terms of enjoyability. There aren't any noticeable flaws here, and the theme is nice to listen to. The ? Spaces aren't that useful or damaging, making this a board worthwhile to play if you want to stick to classics.

#28
Luigiengineroom.png

28. Luigi's Engine Room

This board has been bashed a lot, and I'm gonna disagree with the haters. The gates were cool since I usually have plenty of coins to control the paths. This board is a giant puzzle, and I like it because of that. The only annoying part was Boo after a lap is finished, which can waste your effort, but with some careful planning you can use him to your advantage.

#27
Windmillville_-_Mario_Party_7.png

27. Windmillville

Investment-themed boards are a nice concept, and this is one of two boards with it. The only annoying parts are the flowers that change paths and when Bowser destroys a windmill, but other than that, this board is enjoyable to play in. At least it isn't as frustrating as missing out on stealing a star and getting your stars stolen by lucky players in Pyramid Park.

#26
CBday.JPG

26. Castaway Bay

This board is basically Mario's Rainbow Castle minus the flaws. The scene of this board as an island is rather well designed, and it takes careful planning to win here due to the boats switching places. The ? Spaces are neat, ranging from free coins to switching boats to shuffling everyone's positions. Overall, a good way to execute what Mario's Rainbow Castle failed to do.

#25
BowserGnarlyParty.png

25. Bowser's Gnarly Party

This board is another board undeserving of the hate that it gets. I mean, come on, what can go wrong with facing Bowser in a Mega minigame? Also, Bowser shrinking everyone every once in a while is another neat feature of this board. The bridges also make you plan ahead before making your move. The ? Spaces aren't too damaging, as it only affects your items, which is worthless unless you have a Magic Lamp or Boo's Crystal Ball. Overall this is one of the better Bowser boards out there.

#24
BHB.JPG

24. Boo's Haunted Bash

This board executes the haunted theme rather well. The changing paths was a nice concept to have, and the Pink Boos making paths appear and disappear are interesting. The coffin train and flying instruments add to the theme very well, and although there is a lack of ? Spaces, the music is good in the sense that one is in a haunted forest all by themselves.
