Jinx's Top 63 Mario Party Boards

A Melodic Kappa Production
A huge list that isn't about Pokemon? That's right, I'm taking every single board and deciding on how I like them. There is one rule: no MP6 Solo boards or MP3 duel boards. Now LET'S GO!

MPDSLibraryBoard.jpg

63. Kamek's Library

What is this mess of the board? First off, the board is extremely small. Not only that, but you have to pick a chest and hope it grants you a Star. To make matters worse, you have to land on a ? Space near a book just to get to the other side! You also have to pay coins to go through the Domino Books. And if it you land on Kamek's ? Space and get warped to the other side, you have to land on the ? Space ALL OVER AGAIN!

62. Wario's Battle Canyon

This board has been hated on by a lot of people, and I say that it deserves the hate. For one thing, it has a terrible layout, set out in the middle of nowhere. This is made even worse by the random landing roulette that happens once you get fired from a cannon. But the worst part about this board is if a Star ends up in Bowser's island, because not only do you have to rely on Fly Guy after forking over 10 coins into another landing roulette, if you get unlucky and land behind the Star, you'll lose even more coins! Definitely the worst board in MP1.

61. Bowser's Warped Orbit

Bowser boards give various impressions from bad to good to downright awesome. This board is in the bad category. For one thing, you have to rely on getting lucky with your dice rolls while using star-stealing candy. You can't control where you go at intersections, and the ? Spaces that constantly disrupt the board flow? Annoying as fighting CWU-01P using only the Mega Buster!

60. Goomba's Booty Boardwalk

Another bad board in MP8? Ugh... This board is one of the most rigged boards ever! For one thing, if you roll a 9 and are in 3rd or 4th place on the first turn, you're given an advanatage already by getting tons of coins and a Star for the price of a pathetic 10 or 5 coins! But what really makes this board terrible is the fact that Stars are free here, centralizing the game on riding dolphins and buying Thrice Candies from shops. This board needs to get a tsunami headed towards it!

Bowser's_Magma_Mountain.png

59. Bowser's Magma Mountain

Another bad Bowser board... This poor excuse for a volcano will probably leave you with painful memories of losing your Star to Bowser because you ended up having to take his route... And it gets even worse when everyone else gets to go to Boo! This board needs to go dormant!

MP9_Bob-omb_Factory.png

58. Bob-omb Factory

MP9 is filled with a variety of boards. Some of them are great, but this one was downright horrible. The first part isn't so bad, until the boss battle with Whomp, which you are forced to rely on luck to win. Then afterwards is one of the most annoying features; the Bob-ombs that take away half of your stars after moving 10 spaces! After a Captain Event, you get faced with another Bob-omb, and who awaits at the end? King Bob-omb, who challenges you to another freaking luck minigame!

#57
MP9_Bowser_Station.png

57. Bowser Station

Another bad Bowser board, but this is the last of them. The jackpot star system is absolutely bad in its distribution from minigames, giving 1st a large advantage. The battle with Bowser Jr is the worst boss of them all for being completely luck-centralizing. In the last part of the board, 4th place is given a significant advantage from the Slow Dice and the Bowser Spaces that usually help them!

MP9_Blooper_Beach.png

56. Blooper Beach

The last of MP9's mediocre boards, the problems start right at the beginning with Sushis stealing half of your stars. Right after the first boss, if you land on a ? Space, Mini Stars and Mini Ztars get swapped, either hurting your position or helping opponents. The Unlucky Event is also very bad, as the whirlpool will pull you back until you can get out, and you'll lose stars in the progress. Now if you excuse me, I've got some calamari to fry!

MP1_MarioRCmap.JPG

55. Mario's Rainbow Castle

You thought Mario's Rainbow Castle can slip into the top 20 in my list? Not today! This board is one of the most overrated boards ever; it's an atrocious board with its flaws masked by others targetting the other boards which have less flaws than this. Bowser tends to show up a lot, and if you meet him, you lose 40 coins and have to start the board all over again. What's even worse is if you get your star stolen by an opponent when you just got it from Toad. This board does not deserve the "praise" it gets!

#54
Mystery_Land_map.png

54. Mystery Land

Another board that is deserving of all the hate that it gets. You have to land on ? Spaces just to travel across the board, the Bob-ombs are unreliable and expensive, the Shy Guy is useless, and there is only 1 item shop, and ? Spaces can prevent you from getting a Star or an item. Definitely the worst MP2 board.

#53
Pirate_LandMap.jpg

53. Pirate Land

This board is a total frustration to play through. The Thwomps don't charge high enough fees unless someone racks them up, and the item shop and gate are too close to each other. But the worst part are the ? Spaces, forcing you to start all over should you be on the bridge when someone lands on one of its ? Spaces! GAAAAAAAHHH!

#52
MP4_Goomba'sGreedyGala.jpg

52. Goomba's Greedy Gala

This board is one luckfest, moreso than the other MP4 boards. You have to bet your chances on the roulette wheel just to get around the board, and the dice game with the Goomba doesn't help, especially since you have to start the whole board all over again if you lose! Definitely the worst of MP4's boards.

#50
SpinyDesert_MP3.png

50. Spiny Desert

This board is unimpressive compared to some of the other boards in MP3. The split star system can snatch players from getting stars. The cacti are placed so that quick timing is needed to jump over both of them. The worst part is the quicksand, which transports players to the other side. Since there are so many ? Soaces, prepare to get shuffled around like Prankster Riolu.

#48
Ppark.jpg

48. Pyramid Park

This poor excuse for an Egyptian site is pale in contrast to other boards in MP7. The ? Spaces are troublesome as they can send players right in a Chain Chomp's path. The Chomps themselves are annoying to use, as you have to rely on the dice to steal stars from opponents, and if you fall short or if someone has Snack Orbs, then it can really hurt,

#47
Undersea_Dream_Party_Mode.jpg

47. Undersea Dream

Easily the worst of MP5's boards, due to being not very memoriable. The ? Spaces don't have a significant boost other than the whale and the manta ray, while the shell game relies on luck. The other boards have something to make them stand out, keaving this as a boring reef that lacks any notable features.

#46
MPDSGardenBoard.jpg

46. Wiggler's Garden

This board is more interesting than Kamek's Library for me but that's all it's ever gonna go. The ? Spaces can be annoying, from getting sent to start to losing coins to the Piranha Plant. At least it doesn't centralize ? Spaces like Kamek's Library does.

#45
Space_Land_map.png

45. Space Land

This board can be a frustration to play through, as the ? Spaces will force you to repeat your route. Not only that, but the Bowser Beam is especially annoying when you're in its path. Regardless, this board is more enjoyable than Mystery Land or Pirate Land because the ? Spaces are not as annoying here.

#44
Rainbow_Dream_Party.jpg

44. Rainbow Dream

This board is rather subpar by MP5 standards. The ? Spaces near the gondola can be frustrating, similar to Mystery Land in that you have to land in them just to progress through the islands without forking over coins to activate rainbows. The only good parts was the sunny area, but even that is diluted by the amounts of boredom this board triggers.
