Jinx's Top 17 CAPs

A Melodic Kappa Production
With new CAPs being released, new battle styles form, and new designs enter the world of creativity. This list covers all 17 CAPs created so far. The CAPs will be sorted by design, concept, and battling capabilities as to how I like them. Now let's get this started!

kitsunoh.png

17. Kitsunoh

Kitsunoh is my least-favorite CAP. Still, that doesn't mean it's a bad one. This phantom fox was designed to be the ultimate scouting CAP. Its appearance is that of a Cheshire Cat grin on one of its cool masks and fog feet. Its BST is 513, and it has two abilities in Frisk and Limber. It has a good movepool, with moves like Ice Punch, Meteor Mash, Superpower, Thunder Punch, Trick, U-Turn, Will-O-Wisp, and its signature move, Shadow Strike. Shadow Strike deals damage and can lower a foe's Defense. Also, before the Aegislash line came around, Kitsunoh was the only Steel/Ghost around. It is merely the start, but this is one CAP that will give you the tools to check out your opponent very well.

revenankh.png

16. Revenankh

Revenankh is a mummy with red eyes to make them seem like a corrupted being from an Egyptian tale. It has a BST of 525, two abilities in Shed Skin and Air Lock, a unique typing in Ghost/Fighting, and a good movepool with Bulk Up, Drain Punch, Ice Punch, Moonlight, Power Whip, and Shadow Sneak. Overall, Revenankh is a mighty glacier that will halt anyone that can't scratch it.

#15
stratagem.png

15. Stratagem

Stratagem is an starfish alien made of gravel with Raymanian limbs that is not your typical Rock-type. It has a BST of 535, two abilities in Levitate and Technician, and a good movepool with Calm Mind, Earth Power, Fire Blast, Giga Drain, and its signature move, Paleo Wave. Paleo Wave deals damage and can lower a foe's Attack. Needless to say, Stratagem is one example of why you shouldn't judge things by type alone.

#14
pyroak.png

14. Pyroak

Pyroak is an armored dinosaur with arm cannons and fireproof and exothermic leaves to make a yin-yang bomb of its unique typing of Fire/Grass. It has a BST of 540, two abilities in Rock Head and Battle Armor, and a good movepool with Lava Plume, Leech Seed, Protect, and Substitute. With these qualities, Pyroak will leave you in frustration if you don't have anything to deal with it.

#13
cyclohm.png

13. Cyclohm

Cyclohm is surprisingly cute for a cloud dragon with three heads. It has a BST of 548, two abilities in Shield Dust and Static, and a good movepool with Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Fire Blast, Hydro Pump, Slack Off, and Thunderbolt. This CAP is supposed to abuse useful abilities with limited distribution, and it certainly does a great job at that.

#12
voodoom.png

12. Voodoom

Voodoom is a rather creepy voodoo doll that seems like Frankenstein's toy that came alive by lightning and can affect people with its needles. It has a BST of 550, two abilities in Volt Absorb and Lightningrod, and a good movepool with Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse, Pain Split, and Taunt. Being the last CAP created for Gen IV, Voodoom is a must for any Zapdos and a CAP that made a great end to a generation of creativity.

#11
arghonaut.png

11. Arghonaut

Arghonaut is one menacing octopus pirate with hooks for arms. It has a BST of 555, Unaware, and a good movepool with Bulk Up, Cross Chop, Recover, Stone Edge, Thunder Punch, and Waterfall. Arghonaut is one CAP that is rather impressive, considering how it much it can handle its foes.

#10
fidgit.png

10. Fidgit

Fidgit is a multi-armed spider with multiple drills on its abdomen and elbows. It has a BST of 555, two abilities in Vital Spirit and its signature ability Persistent, which increases the duration of certain field effects, and a good movepool with Encore, Rapid Spin, Sludge Bomb, Spikes, Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes, U-Turn, and Wish. Fidgit was designed to be a supporter, and it does a great job at that.

#9
syclant.png

9. Syclant

Being the first CAP ever created, Syclant is a giant ice mantis with arm cannons... depending on the artist. It has a BST of 555, a unique typing in Ice/Bug, two abilities in Compound Eyes and its signature ability, Mountaineer, which allows it to avoid Stealth Rock and all Rock-type attacks upon switching in, and a good movepool with Blizzard, Bug Buzz, Earth Power, Focus Blast, Ice Beam, Spikes, Superpower, Tail Glow, and U-Turn. Syclant was a great start to CAP and is still the same threat it always has been.

#8
colossoil.png

8. Colossoil

Colossoil is a giant subterranean brown narwhal that has red eyes and a drill on its face, and is an expert on basketball. It has a BST of 565, two abilities in Guts and its signature ability Rebound, which reflects certain status moves when switching in, and a good movepool with Crunch, Earthquake, Encore, Pursuit, Rapid Spin, Sucker Punch, and U-Turn. This CAP is one threat that should be well-prepared for.

#7
krilowatt.png

7. Krilowatt

Krilowatt is a pintsized powerhouse for a shrimp. It has a BST of 570, two abilities in Trace and Magic Guard, and a good movepool with Counter, Earthquake, Ice Beam, Mirror Coat, Surf, and Thunderbolt. Krilowatt is a great CAP that appeals more than any of the other Gen IV CAPs for me.

#6
malaconda.gif

6. Malaconda

Malaconda is a mythical, smug anaconda that corrupts those around it by just being around them for its own amusement, creates chaos, can grow its own fruit that is delicious enough to tempt its prey, and can cause its habitat to flourish with plants. It has a BST of 500, two abilities in Harvest and Infiltrator, and a good movepool with Crunch, Glare, Power Whip, Rapid Spin, Rest, Substitute, Sucker Punch, Synthesis, Toxic, and U-Turn. Malaconda is one CAP that will surely leave some smug smiles on your face if you use it right.

#5
cawmodore.gif

5. Cawmodore

The most recent CAP so far, Cawmodore is a frigate bird with a BST of 530, two abilities in Intimidate and Volt Absorb, and a good movepool with Acrobatics, Belly Drum, Bullet Punch, Drain Punch, Drill Peck, Iron Head, Quick Attack, and Substitute. If given the opportunity, it will wreck havoc on the foe, and it defines a bird of prey in this aspect.

#4
mollux.gif

4. Mollux

Mollux is a lava lamp cone snail that has black bead eyes and an adorable look. Don't be fooled by its rather innocent appearance, however, for it is a poisonous snail that has 131 Special Attack, comparing it to a killer rabbit. It has a BST of 535, a unique typing in Fire/Poison, two abilities in Dry Skin and Illuminate, and a good movepool with Fire Blast, Rapid Spin, Recover, Sludge Bomb, Stealth Rock, Thunder Wave, Thunderbolt, Toxic Spikes, Trick, and Will-O-Wisp. Mollux is one great gastropod that shows that fire and water can mix.

tomohawk.gif

3. Tomohawk

Oh heck yeah, now we're really getting into the Top 5 here. Tomohawk is a Mayincatec tiger gryphon with a BST of 535, three abilities in Intimidate, Prankster, and Justified, and a good movepool with Air Slash, Aura Sphere, Hurricane, Rapid Spin, Roost, Stealth Rock, Substitute, Taunt, and Toxic. This is one CAP that made a great start to Gen V CAP, and is still the spectacular figure that it was back then.

#2
necturna.gif

2. Necturna

Sweet Arceus, I love this CAP. Necturna is a flytrap shaped like a human that wears a shrine maiden's clothes and has more eyes than it seems. It has a BST of 570, Forewarn, Telepathy, and one of the largest movepools in the entire database. This is due to it having access to Sketch, however, it can only learn it once via Egg Move, meaning that you'll have a wild card move when using Necturna. This is truly one CAP that is not to be underestimated, but what can top it?

Now that 16 CAPs have been revealed, my all-time favorite CAP is...

cap4_aurumoth.png

1. Aurumoth

Aurumoth. This CAP has captured more of my attention than any other CAP ever created. First, let's look at its appearance. Aurumoth has six golden plates for wings that have Raymanian logic, blue marks all over its body, and glowing eyes. That is one marvelous moth. Aurumoth can hold its wings using psychic powers, lessen its weight, and cause people to forget things. Speaking of which, Aurumoth is the only Bug/Psychic. Aurumoth is exceptionally great on the battlefield, being a psuedo-legendary with a BST of 600, three powerful abilities in Weak Armor, No Guard, and Illusion, and a very wide movepool with Blizzard, Bug Buzz, Close Combat, Dragon Dance, Focus Blast, Hydro Pump, Megahorn, Overheat, Psychic, Quiver Dance, Tail Glow, Thunder, and Wish. Its design is great, its concept is executed in an incredible matter, and its battling skills are amazing, making Aurumoth my favorite CAP of all time.
