Spoiler

Marisa is very inconsiderate and is often unpleasant to be around, with her doing actions like stealing books from the Scarlet Devil Mansion's library or bullying Alice. Pit is goodhearted, selfless, and heroic, however, he can pull off a Knuckles at times.

Marisa has some flashy ways of battling, however, she is let down by some rather disturbing tactics of hers. When Pit walks into a room, he can annihilate entire armies by himself, as he can pull his own weight. If he is given a reason, he can and will humiliate you as he never gives up. He even does a Super Sentai Stance at one point.

Pit is motivated to protect Palutena and Skyworld from any form of harm. Marisa, on the other hand, is motivated by her lust for treasure, which gets her to steal numerous objects in various places.

This came down to two games: Undefined Fantastic Object and Kid Icarus: Uprising. While UFO was good, Uprising wins the point due to a deeper experience and more variety to last awhile.

The conclusion: Marisa is one staple to keep the Touhou series interesting, but Pit is one great character that leaves you with anticipation on what he might do next.
