Category 1: Appearance
Both of these characters are well designed. Travis depicts a casual suburban type character very well with his outfit with jeans and sneakers, his jacket signaling toughness, his T-shirt having otaku features, further emphasized by his glasses and spiky hair. Jack is more intimidating, with a large skull printed on his leather jacket and a full set of biking gear. With that being said, this point goes to the one with the cooler weapons, and gosh darn it, Travis's beam katana is awesome!

Category 2: Abilities
Both of these characters take hits like freaking tanks. Jack survives cars thrown at him and tornadoes and Travis survives being shocked and being blasted by a laser. But ths point goes to Travis, because while Jack has experience with diverse weaponry, he is very slow, while Travis constantly puts Leona to shame and can transform into a tiger and even turn super saiyan. That would definitely be in my list.

Travis is, for lack of a better word, a j

. He's hotheaded, rash, has no respect for other people around him, and he's just downright unpleasant. Jack, on the other hand, is the professional pro. You get hints that he enjoys his job, and is harmed by absolutely nothing. Travis may have more personality, but i don't like it.

Category 5: Style
Travis may have flashy gadgets to use, but is let down by the game telling us how much of a loser he is, having multiple embarrassments. Jack plays like a man, bringing in action as soon as he enters a room. His calm, cool collectiveness makes him intimidating and yet classy at the same time.

Category 6: Development
Travis totally wins this one. The games deliver multiple messages in him. In the first game, it is told that vengeance begets vengeance, and the second game discusses endless violence and how reckless killing causes consequences. Travis eventually learns that a life of killing isn't cracked up to be. Jack, on the other hand, hasn't changed that much, being a mere pawn and a static character, bringing a lack of interest towards him.

Category 7: Motivations
Travis, hands down. His motivations are far more interesting than Jack's, who's just doing his job, and i don't care what happens to this guy. Sure, there's Deathwatch, but that's more story than character. Even if Travis doesn't have any specific motivations, he's more engaging, leaving me to want to see what he does next.

The conclusion: Jack was a cool protagonist, but Travis is an entertaining character that leaves me in interest longer.

Fun read. Have you played Anarchy Reigns as well? Not sure how much that adds to Jack's story.
It'd be appreciated if you would answer since i'm still super on the fence on buying that and was wondering if that has a decent story.
Haven't really got into it, but I've heard positive feedback from some gamers, the average is probably an 8.2/10.
