Impulse's Top 10 Level From DKC 3

Like a few others, I decide to reveal my top 10 favorite level's from the game "Donkey Kong Country 3 Dixie Kong's Double Trouble". The reason i have decide to do this game is because it is heavenly underrated and it deserves more shine. I think it's underrated because DK and Diddy was absent from the game and this came out 3 years before DK 64. I'm not sure if this is the case but i know it is definitely underrated. For those who have played this game already, I highly recommend this game for those who haven't played it because it is a very fun and challenging game. Also feel free to comment and thanks to those who took 2 mins of there time to read my thoughts. :p

Murky Mill

One of the most annoying level in the game but it is quite challenging. Dixie and Kiddy kong play as Ellie The Elephant for most this level, you have to navigate through the dark. You have to keep in mind that Ellie is afraid of the rats (Sneeks) and you have to hit them with a barrel to get pass. This is the fifth level of DKC 3, And it is located in the first world, Lake Orangatanga.

Riverside Race

This race is quite memorable and is unique in its own way. In this level, you have to race to see if you can beat Brash record (1:15:00) to the goal. There is a timer in the bottom-right corner of the screen that times how long it takes for Dixie and Kiddy to complete the level. There is also a swarm of wasps found only in this level that pursue the kongs while they are above water during this level. There are invincible so don't try to attack them, and also normal enemies can be found here so try to avoid them. If you manage to beat Brash record, pay him a visit. He will then throw a tantrum causing the path the the banana bird cove to open. There is also a warp barrel here that take you straight to the finish line, but there also a catch to it. If you use the warp barrel, the warp barrel will cause the timer to max out to 9:59 (due to you using the warp barrel to cheat). This is the seventh level of DKC 3, and it is also the second area of Kremwood Forest.

Fish Food Frenzy

This is one of thee hardest level in the game. During this underwater level, Dixie and Kiddy is being stalked by a common foe, Nibbla (the primate eating fish). Nibbla will not attack you at first sight but you will need to feed it fish (Kocos) to prevent it from devouring you. Nibbla will go through a strange color phenimenon indicating its aggravation. When it turn red, that is a signal of attacking if not fed soon. If fed the wrong fish (Lurchins), Nibbla is most likely going to attack. Unlike any other level, this level don't have a warp barrel. This is the Fifteenth Level in the game DKC 3 for both Snes and Game Boy Advance. This is the fifth level area of Cotton-Top Cove.

Ripsaw Rage

This level has a unique feature and is very intense. A giant saw is cutting down the remaining trees left on Mekanos as the kongs race to the top. Dixie and Kiddy must be on guard as they may have to run very fast from one side to another to avoid being sliced. In because of that, it may be difficult to get bananas and other hiddden items. The common enemies such as Rats (Sneeks) and Bee's (Buzz) are still found in this level. This level also do not have a warp barrel so there is only one way to through pass. This is the eighteenth level from the game DKC 3 and is only feature for SNES. This is the third area of Mekanos.

Demolition Drain-Pipe

This map is a rather fun and tricky level. Dixie and Kiddy will speed through this level using a sled (toboggan). The toboggan can ride along at bottom of the pipeline and can grab onto rail that is hang from the ceiling. The toboggan speed can not be adjusted or modify making it hard especially for beginners. Since the speed can not be adjusted, it is very easy to fall into small gaps around the level or crashed into obstacles. Common enemies can such as Buzzes and Knik-Knacks can be found in this level to slow down Dixie and Kiddy progress. They are the only enemies that can be found here, however they can still be crushed by the toboggan simply by jumping on them. This is the seventeeth level from the game DKC 3 and is feature for both SNES and Game Boy Advance. This is the second area of the Mekanos right before Rip-Saw Rage.

Krack Shot Kroc

This level is similar to Murky Mill, instead of playing with Ellie you will play with Squitter for most of this factory level. In contrast to Murky Mill, you will be targeted by Kroc. He is the guardian of this level and will try to shoot Squitter for most of their visit. The only way Squitter can avoid his attack is in the bonus level. In one of the bonus level, the tide turns and Dixie and Kiddy get to control kroc to shoot the enemies in a destroy them all challenge. Squitter turns into the Steel Kag needed to defeat Koin near the end. This is the only chance Dixie and Kiddy have to beat him so be wise. Common enemies are found here and Kroc is only seen here. This level is feature for both SNES and Game Boy Advance and is the 24th level in the game DKC 3. This is the 4th area in the K3 level.

Pot Hole Panic

This is a fun and unique level similar to Murky Mill and Krack Shot Kroc. Throughout this level you will have to utilize every animal buddy while Dixie and Kiddy are in there present form. The first up is Squawks, he is the first animal you use and is the only animal not optional in the level. The second part is Enguarde which is around the watery section, and along with Ellie (only for a short amount of time). In the final section, you will use Squitter to explore the rest of the cave. More enemies than usual is found in this level, the following are Booty Birds, Kopters, Kocos, Lurchins, Bounty Basses, Kuchukas, and Buzzes. This is the twenty-nine level in the game DKC 3 and is the fourth area of Razor Ridge.

Kong-Fused Cliffs

This is one intense level. In this level, Dixie and Kiddy will find themselves climbing a long rope to the pinnacle of a mountain. It is a problem for the heroes for climbing is second nature to them but the ropes that fill this level is on fire. The flame will continue to progress as the kongs rise to the peak. Since the flame does not stop and continues to pursuit, they will not be able to back track. To make there troubles worse, they will continue to be hassled by Buzzes and Kopters that surrounds them. They will prove to be a bigger threat than the on-going flame. The music here is quite catchy and eargasm properties. This is the twenty-seventh level for bot SNES and Game Boy Advance, this is the second area in Razor Ridge.

Ropey Rumpus

This map is very unique and annoying. During this level, Dixie and Kiddy will scout a large mountain with the assist of long firm ropes. These ropes will be found everywhere, horizontal and vertical in every direction. You will be climbing more than walking, The landscape is barely spotted in this level. Danger is still Lurking whither you are climbing or walking, and is swarmed by Buzzes. The buzzes are place in all different position and swarming in many different patterns to flank the Heroes. If touch by the Buzzes, the leading monkey can only be recovered by a DK Barrel. Parry The Parallel Bird appears in this level and it will be parallel to the kongs at all times. If parry manage to survive when you reach the no animal sign, you will be rewarded a special prize. This is the thirteen level in DKC 3 and is the fifth and final area of Razor Ridge.

Poisonous Pipeline

This is one fun and unique level. This level takes place in a pipeline (that is similar to Demolition Drain-Pipe) and is fill with purple water. The purple water appears to be poisonous and as a result, the controls are reversed. The Kongs will have to swim their way around in these reversed directions, which be tricky at times as they might forget about the controls and crashed into a upcoming enemy. The usual aqua enemy are Kokos and Luchins, as well as a single krimp can be found in dry areas. For once in their live the enemies can be found a problem in this level, but as the kong navigate through the poison they will eventually meet Enguarde The Swordfish who will help for a short amount of time. This is the thirty-fifth in DKC 3 feature for both SNES and Game BOy Advance, and is the fifth area of KAOS Kore.

Lighting Lookout

This level can tricky when it want to. You are in the riverside level simlar to Riverside Race, but instead of racing lighting strikes at you. It strikes at you as if it were purposely in the heroes way. Luckly the lighting does not strikes instantly like it should do, there is a warning flash above the spot where it will hit. When you come across to water, don't stay in it for too long because the lighting will strike and you will get fried. You can use the lighting to your advantage, the lighting can strike down your enemies if they aren't clever enough. As you get futher into the level, the lighting will get more aggressive and start to strike more faster, wreaking more havok for the Kongs. To make the situatuon worse, enemies are still flooded here, Buzzes, Yellow Knit-Knacks, and Booty Birds. A few red Knit-Knack and a Nibbla can be found here but nibbla can be found in a bonus level. Nibbla only appears in the Game Boy Advance version. Keep in mind that while the lighting can be use to take out most enemies , Red Knit-Knacks and Koin are immune to the lighting strikes. This is the thirty-third level for both SNES and Game Boy Advance version, and is the third area of KAOS Kore.

Well this conclude my Top 10 level's from DKC 3, and I hope to do this for another underrated game that deserve some shine.
