How Did You Find Out About Metal Gear Solid?

Basically, how did you learn about Metal Gear Solid?

I did not know about Metal Gear Solid that much before Brawl came along. Just a few games that were there for Nintendo systems. When Brawl came along, and it featured Solid Snake, that's when I knew more about Metal Gear Solid. Trophies and stickers helped me learn small facts about Metal Gear Solid.

Same for me. I played Super Smash Bros Brawl and discovered the series from that game.

Later, My brother played games in the series and got me interested.

I found out about the game when I was 5, back in 1998. I got the game when it was released, thanks to my mother. I also played the demo several times and loved it.

My friend gave me his PS1 and most of the classics for it to borrow and play for a while, so I played it back then. One of my favorite series ever.

I've played demos and the games back then on the PS1 when I was a kid. I've learned about it like in 2001? At least from what I can remember. I always knew it existed after, just wasn't really interested.
