I liked the fire and ice flowers because they helped take down the enemies faster. What about you guys?

I like the koopa shell stickers. Nothing screams "coins" like a one-hit KO.
The Fire Flower and Ice Flower stickers, it's easier to face tough foes. Though, I liked the shiny and flashy ones more.
I like hopslippers - they helped me destroy every boss I've faced so far (Except for Mister Blizzard, since he was weak to the fire attacks 
)
I'd like to note that I'm also not using any "thing" stickers in battle except for when the game forces me to, so these are my only alternative, other than the infinity jump, which I find actually gets too repetitive after a while of use, but I still hold regards as one of the best stickers around (whether I can use it on the main bosses or not is another question).
