The first track of Lightning Cup in Mario Kart 8. Tick-Tock Clock returns from Mario Kart DS from Nintendo DS. The track is modeled after Tick Tock Clock from Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64) and Super Mario 64 DS (Nintendo DS). While the track layout is the same, the background is largely different. You can now see gears rotating along with the music and there is more detail to the background. Toads now cheer along the sidelines from the starting line. The hands move more slowly than it did in Mario Kart DS.

It's fun racing inside the grandfather clock. I like how there is more detail in the background, and rotating red and blue gears in the center of the track. The pendulums, however, are annoying when they are in the way, as it sometimes forces you to come to a standstill.
