Dragonball/Z/GT Series

If nobody knows what this show is, it's about a guy named Goku and basically his life with all these people/creatures trying to destroy the planet Earth while he's its protector. He is born to a race called the Saiyans. There are transformations to get stronger called Super Saiyan, SS 2, SS 3, and SS 4. Over his life, many enemies come to destroy him and collect the Dragonballs to be granted eternal life. Many times the Dragonballs have been gathered to grant Goku and his family and friends wishes.

Personally, this was my favorite anime ever. I never got tired of watching these shows, but it sucks that they're over  .

I'm not very fond of this show (especially with that new crap "Dragon Ball Z Kai" =P) but I did like the epic scenes of fighting.

The fighting was awesome, the only thing that didn't make sense was the fight with Frieza. I thought they said Namek would be destroyed in 5 minutes, but it took like 5 episodes.

Yeah, that's one thing I didn't like about the show. It took like 7 episodes to kill enemies. =P

Yeah, I didn't find this to be very fun. I remember watching a couple of these episodes. Some battles and other things were a bit boring, in my opinion.

Dragonball was the only anime out of the franchise that was fun and didn't take the enemies 50000000 episodes to kill.

At least it had storylines and some backbone to the series.

Are you kidding me it took 10 episodes to kill Frieza! I loved this show and actually don't mind Kai all that much. They got rid of all the useless filler and got down to the story.

I grew up with the Spanish dub of the original Dragonball, it was awesome. 8)  Dragonball Z is alright I guess, I'm not really into 10 episode long fight scenes.

This is why I always watch it twice a week and stuff cuz of new episodes and episodes i did not see yet and stuff. Plus what I think about it and stuff, It's really a great series of Dragon Ball Z and Kai. (My opinion)

I never watched GT nor do I really want to. I thought the plot was kinda stupid.

So I've finally actually started watching Dragon Ball Z, after casually watching random episodes back when I was little (like younger than 8), and I have to say, it's really good. The only problem I have with it is how it takes so long for a character to arrive on the battlefield and curb stomp battle the villain. Once they get there it's usually an exciting battle, but this same formula got reused several times just in the first 2 seasons, and I do remember seeing the Cell Games do the exact same thing. Ugh. I'm starting Season 3 today, and I can't wait, since for years of my childhood, I always knew Frieza as one of the scariest villains ever (up until General Grievous appeared in the Clone Wars cartoon O_O).

I just wish they would release an Ocean dub DVD ;___;

I honestly don't know how anybody can watch the anime over just reading all the manga volumes. Not only is it quicker (no sarc) but you get the actual storyline bits that were written and drawn by the author. Unneeded length and "arcs" added for snooze-fest.
