Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Amiibo Functionality

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will have amiibo functionality. However, the exact nature of amiibo support for this game is currently unknown.

How do you think amiibo will be supported for this game? Could there be Captain Toad and Toadette amiibo figures?

I'm not exactly sure on what amiibo could give you for this small game, really. Costumes like Mario Kart 8? Other playable characters?

I still think it'll be a while before they add amiibo to this game.
They'll wait until they've released all the Smash amiibos, then start the next lines and have Toad as another one.
I still can't imagine what they'll do with this.

Well, it could also serve as an extra bonus objective to complete. You're not required for it, it's just extra content that's completely optional. It can be fun searching for them when you're bored. XD

It's 1 amiibo per game in which the game saves data onto the amiibo itself.

SSBWiiU and MP10 are the only games that save data to the amiibo so far. And since Toad cannot connect to SSBWiiU, it has no conflicts at the moment with any games.
