Wiggler
This is a weird addition to the game and I have no idea why Nintendo chose to add this character to the list. Wiggler. Last playable in Mario Super Sluggers, he can sometime be a friendly character or sometimes an enemy in those Super Mario adventures. Wiggler is almost like Honey Queen, he can't fit into karts due to his width, and size; which could be difficult on handling. Ultimately, this is another terrible and ridiculous idea that Nintendo came up with! If I had to choose to replace this character, I would choose Waluigi
Wiggler makes his third appearance as a playable character in the Mario series here. Since his first appearance in Super Mario World, Wiggler's appearance has become more and more friendly-looking. Wiggler has been a bit harder to drive for some people in Mario Kart 7 and that with another few reasons has made him along with the other 3 newcomers the most infamous additions to the series. As for now, it doesn't look like Wiggler will be playable in the Mario Kart series ever again.

Peach
Up next is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, Peach. She gets kidnapped by Bowser and his army in almost all adventures, but this time, she's making a playable appearance in the upcoming Super Mario 3D World, along with Toad since Super Mario Bros. 2 25 years ago. Always a happy character, but ends her time at this collab at #12.
Peach definitely deserves a better role in the Mario's series in my opinion although yet, she still isn't the best playable characters in this series. Peach has been a default playable character in every Mario Kart game to date and has been in nearly all the Mario games since her first appearance in Super Mario Bros. She is the main damsel in distress in most of the main platforming games. Decent stats yet still, ranked 12th here.

Wario this time returns to Mario Kart 7 as a unlockable character. He almost appeared in every Mario Kart game, except Super Mario Kart. He was first playable in Mario Kart 64 as my favorite character in that game to be honest. He finished at #2 in the previous collab (only losing to Toadette), but this one? Just missing out on the Top 10 for some reason. I find nothing wrong for him.
Wario first appeared as the main antagonist of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. Wario since has been the main character of his own two series, WarioWare and Wario Land. Wario has also been playable in many spin-offs including Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Due to his very overweight size, not great stats and a bit of an irritating voice, Wario missed out on the top 10 and won't get any garlic from me.

Koopa Troopa
The character who is now starting to make more appearances in the Mario Kart series. Koopa Troopa is another basic and most common enemy in the Mario series. Sometimes they can be helpful, and others can harm you. I even asked SpiderStaryu about this, is he and Toad partners in some games? That's a weird question, but I agree to some games though. Koopa Troopa deserves a Top 10 finish at #10 tonight.

Donkey Kong
Well, here we have is one of the oldest characters in the series, which dates back to over 30 years ago; Donkey Kong. Since the late 1990s, Donkey Kong started to be more appealing in his appearences as a playable character in the following games: Mario Kart 64, Mario Golf, Tennis, Mario Party, etc. As almost a full heavyweight character with great stats, DK will be coming home at #9 on the show, which is quite okay for some DK fans.

Lakitu
One of Mario Kart's newest entries to the series and a great character in my review, Lakitu! Although, you may find his voice a bit annoying, just put him on a Cloud 9 kart and you get the best results from him. Just imagine their clouds singing in New Super Mario Bros. U (I laughed while seeing that occur), some find him pathetic and others find him "awesome". Yep, that's a red Lakitu at #8!
Lakitus are common enemies in the Mario series. Which makes this Lakitu different with other Lakitus is that he has a red shell and a more annoying voice. His annoying voice is what makes him unpopular as well. He originally looked a lot different in his 8-bit from in Super Mario Bros. Aside from the voice, I see no reason not to like him, but for us, he ranks 9th.

There has been a some exceptions as the main villain and final boss of every Mario game, but has plans to kidnap Peach and take over the Mushroom Kingdom once or twice a year. Now with the lucky #7 is the king of koopas, Bowser. He's also one of my favorite characters in Mario Kart 7, and in my opinion (except Jinx's) he is my second favorite character in Mario Kart Wii in terms of his reactions. You'll never know if he's good or bad during some adventures such as Superstar Saga. As one of the heaviest characters in Mario Kart history, Bowser gets a good result on this collab.

Rosalina
One of the most notable characters of the Super Mario Galaxy series, Rosalina. As a large character, I did like her when I played as her back in my Mario Kart Wii days, and Mario Kart 7? She's changed a lot! Her voice is good, but it wasn't a little better than the Wii version. This time, there is no Luma aside her! As we approach the Top 5, Rosalina finishes here at #6.

Metal Mario
The most notable newcomer that Nintendo added in Mario Kart 7 unlike Lakitu; Metal Mario. Most people find him unpopular because he is like a "garbage-like newcomer to the series". However, his weight is enough to push lighter karts off the course during online races. He is great at speed but with terrible controlling and acceleration like the other heavy characters. I have no idea that he's at #3 right now...

In Super Mario 64, the Metal Cap allowed Mario to turn into Metal Mario, although since, Metal Mario was a separate character, playable in Mario Golf and Tennis games and a boss in the Super Smash Bros. series. Metal Mario was very unpopular and I doubt will ever be playable in another main Mario Kart game.
