About time I did myself a list of the best/worst elements in a game/series. The first list I've created is the Mario Kart Wii Playable Character and I rank them out of my Top 24 on who's my favorite and least favorite characters in that game. Also, I have received help from fellow member Jinx at the time when this was announced and we started to work on it at BTEF.

23. Baby Peach
22. Baby Daisy
21. Birdo
20. Baby Luigi

Now, the Mario Kart series has been known for its very diverse rosters as the games went on. Some of them were simple, some were very good, and some... well, let's just say that not all rosters were good. In this list, we rank all 24 MKW characters from least favorite to favorite. This list is based on the balance of the opinions of the both of us, so you may see some characters that are somewhat low or high on this list because of our split opinions. Also, the Mii will not be on this list, because, let's face it; Mii is an avatar used for oneself and doesn't have any major connections to the Mario series. With that being said, LET'S DO IT!

TOP 24 MKW CHARACTERS

One character we both don't like that much is Baby Mario. He is literally a younger clone of Mario, something we both don't find that interesting. Not only that, but his high handling stat means you'll see him a lot in battles, which gets annoying after some time. Also he's a complete killjoy in a lightweight-only battle due to his very high weight and handling.
Baby Mario is just a younger version of Mario. His voice can be bothersome during play and you may feel you have been taunted every time he hits you with an item. Although as a light character, he can easily be pushed by the other heavier characters that have more performance and talent than him. Select him and you'll be ready for a round full of swirling pain of misery than a fun race.

Oh look, another annoying baby clone. At least Baby Peach was introduced in another game prior to this instead of appearing out of nowhere like Baby Daisy! Her voice is just as annoying as Baby Daisy's, and if you don't unlock any characters, then this brat will cause as much irritation as Baby Daisy. This is truly a monkey wrench in the character roster of MKW.
Baby Peach first appeared in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time and now, she's in Mario Kart Wii?! I've never heard such junk in my life that's she's playable. Based as another baby clone of Princess Peach, there's no reason why Nintendo threw that idea in the character roster due to slow speed and weight. In the end if you have to choose between playing as or playing against Baby Peach, choose playing against her. Therefore, it will be much easier for her to lose the most races.

@BT, can you use a different font color other than blue, its very hard to read. ::)
Don't tell me that you're using the Legacy Red theme...

Yea I'm using it but why does that matter?
Yes, it can be hard to read because of the color of the post background. I know that others with the default theme can easily read on what I said. Try to zoom in into the page for better detail.

Another disappointing character, and her first appearance in this game is Baby Daisy. The obvious reason why Mario Kart Wii has more characters, they just threw the ideas that I mentioned earlier; and that is clone versions of the main characters. Baby Daisy's voice is really irritating than Baby Peach and has like the same stats as her. What's the copied idea of Baby Peach was that?! As Jinx said, the worst character in Mario Kart Wii but for me, not too bad but still below average. In a race, it's really easy to push her off a cliff while using a Mushroom to boost... bawling.
Baby Daisy. Just why? She is literally a younger clone of her older self. I personally hate clones when it comes to spin off playable appearances, but Baby Daisy takes the cake, even more so than Metal Mario. That spot could've gotten to more suiting characters, like Paratroopa or Hammer Bro or something! What makes her even worse is that her high stats means that you'll see her online a lot, and combined with her annoying voice, be sure to mute your TV or prepare for torture in your ears. Definitely my least favorite MKW character.

Oh who's this dunce? Oh right, Yoshi's girlfriend, Birdo... My worst Mario Kart Wii character yet and Mario Party Legacy's least favorite character in terms of her voice. And it hard to understand that's it's a him or a her. Well technically, she wears a ribbon on the head and a diamond ring on a finger, that identifies her as a girl. Very decent stats than Yoshi's to add to the negatives. Are you ready for some REAL torture to your ears? Then always mute your TV if you see her in a race that you're currently in. Don't leave it unmuted otherwise you might get a headache!
Oh Birdo, very unpopular with the community. He/she got last place in MPL's 4th Mario survivor poll! While I still don't find him/her that interesting, I still like him/her better than the previous characters in this list. He/she has decent stats, boosting weight, offroad, and miniturbo, meaning he/she goes well with karts. His/her voice can get annoying sometimes, but the design is OK, at least to me.

Out of the babies, Baby Luigi stands out the most for me. Of course, that's not saying much because he's a clone. He has very high speed and weight, meaning you'll see him a lot in races. Probably the worst part about him is that his high stats make him a total killjoy in lightweight-only races, especially on Rainbow Road, where he will shove you off if you're bumped by him.
Seriously, how many baby clones are taking over Mario Kart Wii?! Four? Good, because this is the last one... Baby Luigi appears to be the best out of the four baby characters. In most races as a small character, he is fast due to his high speed, so we do recommend you playing as him. Just be careful when racing in a track of cliffs otherwise you might get shoved off easily.

I don't really like Koopa that much because he is rather generic and ordinary. He doesn't have anything in particular to distinguish himself from the rest of the group and just seems to be plain old Koopa in his appearances in the games. I prefer more developed characters taking the rosters in Mario spin-offs. Koopa's stats aren't that impressive, either, only boosting handling and miniturbo. At least Koopa Cape is one great track for the Star Cup.
Koopa Troopa has been with the series since Mario Kart Double Dash, except Mario Kart DS. He is actually a great character to race in during 150cc and Mirror GP races. Since Mario Bros. Koopa has been a major series enemy in many Mario adventures, despite his good handling, drifting and mini-turbos, he can be able to get through sharp turns and hairpins. He also own a track "Koopa Cape" in the Star Cup as Jinx said earlier. Don't take him to the Special Cup though!

Starting off our first major split opinions, we have the tomboyish princess of Sarasaland, Daisy. She may not be as great as, let's say, Iris, but she still stands out among some of the other characters. She has lots of spunk and vibe, making her like Amy Rose. Her stats are among the best of the middleweights, boosting speed, handling, and minitubo, meaning she performs well on karts and bikes. Daisy has been a like-hate case because of this, which is why noncompetitive people hate her in this game. Another like-hate area is her voice, which can be annoying at times, especially the you-know-what. Her course, Daisy Circuit is also a decent track to play in. Also she has an interest in flowers, which... well forget it. Next!
Princess Daisy is one of my least favorite options for the franchise's major characters. Her stats are pretty decent but it is not enough to challenge the best Mario Kart Wii characters out there. I'm not annoyed by her voice, although most people don't select her, even she can be good in any vehicle. Daisy Circuit doesn't amuse me that much, but I HATED her Cruiser track while in Mario Kart 7. A character, who got a mixed review score of 4/10 by everyone who plays Mario Kart Wii worldwide.
