Ace Attorney (series)

I'm just gonna say right off the bat, I love these games. The "Phoenix Wright" trilogy on WIiWare completely blew my mind.

For those that don't know, Ace Attorney is a series of games in which you play a defense attorney. As you might expect from that, you try to get people a "Not Guilty" verdict. The cases are usually murders, so if you're sensitive to that kind of thing you may want to step away from these games.

But anyway, I've beaten all of the first three games on WiiWare. A few days ago I started playing the fourth one on DS(Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney) and my mind was literally blown only a few moments the first trial started. I'm not gonna say why, but you'll probably get the same reaction after playing the first three games.

Also, the reason why this is in General Gaming even though the games are on Nintendo systems is that Nintendo didn't make this series, Capcom did.(I think something happened to them though? idk)

So I've said all that I can say right now. What do all of you think of these games?

I played ALL of them. I love all of the games and I like how they require you to use your brain unlike many of the games today. Dual Destinies I felt like it was a bit dumb down and such compared to the previous games. I knew we would have some Ace Attorney fans here on MPL! I love Maya Fey; pissed she wasn't in Dual Destinies (I don't care for Pearl). This can go under Nintendo games due to it being on that software. Phoenix Wright x Professor Layton I LIVED FOR! Edgeworth I do not like his character... that's why I don't like the games where he is the detective...

I "discovered" (I already knew the existence of this game before) the Ace Attorney series around a month ago. I wanted to watch a bit of gameplay to see if this game interested me, and omg, I finally watched the whole episode. It was SO interesting, I couldn't stop spoiling myself. Now I try to get all the first 4 games!

Ah the Ace Attorney series. I've been very interested in the series. They seem so well written and have great characters. I've only played the Professor Layton Vs Phoenix Wright crossover and I loved it. My favorite parts were the trials, pretty much the Ace Attorney gameplay. I was only disappointed when it was over really. I still have to buy the Phoenix Wright Trilogy on the Nintendo 3DS eshop, I still haven't gotten around to it but I can't wait to experience the series after loving the crossover.

That reminds me, is PL vs. PW considered a good game? I've heard mixed things about it.

And yeah, you totally should get the first three games. But one thing I kinda messed up when first starting to play Ace Attorney is that I actually played the second game first, then the first game, and then the third. I was kinda confused at first about some things that were happening in the second game but I caught on eventually.

In my opinion, it's a great game. The gameplay of Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright mix well together. Also some great music. One of my few problems was it was rather short.

Oh I'll definitely get the first 3 games, I've been wanting them for awhile now. Yeah it can be confusing playing sequels first when there's a lot of story.
