Got to try that sometime, but not in the first run.

I already knew how to do that when I saw it. My record is 7 so I'm gonna try to get a better score next time.
When I first endure that level, I see the goad pole and I was like "What?! Over already?" But I needed to collect the three star medals first. Should've done that.
I actually did the major shortcut my first run of the game, I eventually went back and collected the Star Medals for it afterwards. It's a neat shortcut.
I learned how to do that when I stared at the gap.
Just thought "Hrmm... could I make this with a Tanooki suit?".
Both Mario and Luigi did it fine!
...granted, I did require a wall jump for Mario, but both can do it!
