One would use the wii U gamepad
and the others would use remotes.
Simple enough and might actually work.

The 5 player party sounds nice, and Wii U vs Wiimote also is probably a good idea.
This also means that 1vs3/2vs2 will be switched to 2vs3/1vs4, though. :)

So that means 1 player will be excluded from the game, if there's going to be 1vs3 and 2vs2.

No, it means that if only 4 or less people are playing,
it will be 1 vs. 3.

1 vs. 4 seems pretty awesome. Thinking about the way Nintendo does things I think they will skip this opportunity. Hopefully its not MP9 play style. I WANT MY OLD BOARDS BACK!
