Do you have to unlock dasiy and waluigi? Or do you start with them
They are only available in Party Mode. They do not need to be unlocked. But their boards do need to be unlocked.

I'm sure that they just can't be chosen in Story Mode, like Shy Guy and Magikoopa/Kamek in Mario Party 9.

Tip: Get a 7 or 8 on your first roll in Spiny Desert, you can buy a 10 coin item at the item shop, and land on bowser, he will give you a free 30 coins.

I used to abuse this trick lol. Though Bowser coin amounts are random from what I remember, he used to give as much as 50 coins. He was mad generous in 3

Yup, usually on the first turn, he'll give you 30 coins, but any other time varies from 30-50 coins.
