Ohmigosh! Kirby! Yay! I love you Kirby! I've always wondered when you would arrive in 3D. This is going to be epic. Wheeee! The trailer looks really cool too.

Inb4 Beetle is the spiritual successor to Suplex

This actually looks pretty cool and utilizes the depth mechanic. No other real innovations but yeah RTDL inspired.

Interesting - a new Kirby game to the 3DS now.
...I wonder what's inside that treasure chest there?
Guess we'll have to find out next time Nintendo talks about it. :P

Triple Deluxe? Could that mean 3 different games are in it like Super Star?

LOL @ that name. Been waiting for 3D to be incorporated into names more like Dream Drop Distance.

So... soon?
Already?

Wow, that was too fast in my opinion... must have been keeping this from us for a while now...
Nintendo - why do you keep hiding things like this on us and only showing it to those over where you are?

...then again - it looks like they didn't receive the announcement too long ago either.
I wonder what it was they actually decided to put into this game?

Seems like so much in so little time still... :mute:

Tuesday, October 1, 2013 to Saturday, January 11, 2014. That's a span of only 103 days in between. I wonder if we'll be getting this game in North America sooner than we expected it to. Looks like Nintendo wants to get this game out in the current fiscal year.

I'm intrigued by that clown enemy thing in middle left. Can't tell if it's needle, parasol or something else.

Other than that, hot diggity that's really soon. Probably not the best time of release chosen, but ah well.

It will at least fill in the gap between big games and probably keep momentum of the 3DS sales in that month after the holidays (though I don't know if the holidays are big in Japan).

New Years is a big holiday in Japan where children are given money as a gift, so the date makes sense.

To be honest, Kirby sucking up MASSIVE stuff is something I expected so long a go, so cool it's finally happening.

This game looks to me so far to be a little Amazing Mirror and a little Return to Dreamland. Loving it so far!

My sister loves Kirby...but I'm not telling her about this game.  Her birthday is the 4th of April, so I will, if it comes out before then, surprise her with a game that she didn't even know was made!  She's going to be going WTF the whole time! ;)  I can only hope, again, that it releases before then.

Before I wasn't really that excited for this game, but after seeing the "Kirby Fighters" game inside, I just have to get this when it comes out now!

I mean, sure, they're only offering less than half the Copy-Abilities you can get in-game, but by the looks of things, they went with choosing the perfect ones to use against other players.
I mean, really - what would you think if someone went in with the Crash ability? XD

I think for abilities there are (Note - Iwata said there were only 10)...
 - Sword
 - Cutter
 - Ninja
 - Beam
 - Hammer (Godsend)
 - Bow
 - Parasol
 - Whip
 - Fighter
 - ?

I wonder what the last one will be...?
Also - it looks like you can pick your Kirby colour too.
Now I just hope they confirm Download and Wifi play. :P

^^^

I'd say another armed ability, certainly not an elemental type since well...

Bow/Sniper to me feels like a grounded Cupid but stronger. Circus... don't know what to think about yet since not enough footage. Wheel returning is nice.

Why did you make this so small? Are you trying to ruin my eyesight?

Like not trying to be a jerk but using that small text for a list just strained my eyes really bad trying to read it and I have pretty good eyesight. IDK might be getting old

Okay sorry for that then.

Back on topic, I also just remembered they had multiple different stages in the Kirby Fighters as well.
One is on Dedede's Arena, another in an open field, and one more in the area where you fight Lololo and Lalala (with them interfering as well in fact).

Does it seem like they're just taking all these stages from older Kirby games? Well, maybe not considering that one with the 3 huge hammers, but there certainly seem to be some inspiration from the older games... what do you all think.

All it says is 2014.

The only region that has a solid release date is Japan, and that's Saturday, January 11, 2014.

Can't remember from the Nintendo Direct. :P

Also, there's thing called Sunstones you collect in this game as well, as well as Keychains, which can be shared via streetpass.

I beat the main game 100% on Friday. Easy, but fun and creative. Hypernova ability is awesome. Minigames are okay for the most part. And I like the idea of getting Keychains through Streetpass.

I'm only at 49% and about to start World 6 as of May 17, but  I'm getting there fast and might just be a result of me playing at a slower pace. I can easily agree to the easy, fun, and creative thing-adding just being gorgeous to look at-all factors of a truly wonderful game and don't forget GI's Game of the Month award (For April apparently?)!

Just finished Story Mode 100%. I still have yet to do other modes, though. Great game, and I agree with SZ with the Hypernova ability being awesome. It was really cool sucking everything up.
