Kirby and his friends and allies are inviting you to come to Planet Popstar and meet his fellow friends. While he desires to give lots of rewards and chocolate coins, his friends can range from somewhat helpful to rather demanding. Thankfully, Kirby paved a simple pathway to prevent you from getting lost, but be sure to meet his friends for their desires. Still, you want to reap the most coins to get the best out of Popstar.

Events:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Magolor's Shoppe and Susie's Selling Stand
Magolor and Susie is selling specific items for your desires. Magolor brings in high-end items, while Susie brings in technical items. They even sell rare items, although their demanding costs can make you think twice if they're worth the cost.

Daroach Bank
Unlike Dark Meta Knight, Daroach has better desires to hand out coins to you. That is until you land on his stash...

Kirby himself
Kirby functions much like Koopa and gives you 10 free coins when you pass him!

Flamberge's Incineration
Land next to Flamberge and she'll burn a star from everyone. Just be sure you can pay the large price of 75 coins.

Taranza and the Dreamstalk
Taranza's nice enough to give you a walk to Floralia and then back down with the low price of 15 coins.

The Dueling Knights
Meta Knight, Galacta Knight, and Morpho Knight all loves a good battle, landing in their corner will allow you to perform a duel with an opponent.

The Marx Circle
Watch out if you plan to head behind the gate at the start. Marx's in it with his tricks, including Chance Time and Game Guy. Land on one of his happening spaces and he'll split your coins too!

Zan Partizanne's Quiz
Zan Partizanne wants to know you studied before you came to Popstar, so she'll ask you a question when you reach her. She can pick from 25 possible questions!

Hyness Commences Star Warp
You can choose to spend 35 coins if you reach Hyness to allow him to move the star.

Bandana Dee's Castle Sale
If you don't choose to go where Dedede is, you'll pass by Bandana Dee, who will force you to buy an item for extremely high prices! Luckily, you can dodge his sale if you have a full item stash. Basically, he's a Bowser Item Shop, but he can steal more than a Bowser Item Shop.

King Dedede's Mallet
But if you head to where Dedede is, he'll do the opposite and smash an item away from you. Of course, you can dodge this by having no items. Also, there's a lot of Nightmare Spaces for Dedede to call NME when you land on them.

Francisca's Snowstorm
Francisca can summon a snowstorm that can result in loss of 20 coins for your opponents or a gain of 40 for everyone but you!

Adeleine and Ribbon's Painting
If you're lucky enough to land here, Adeleine will paint you a lovely Golden Warp Star for free!

While you won't have to worry about Chance Time or Game Guy unless you take the other bend, be sure to spend your coins wisely, as a lot of services on Popstar are very demanding on your coins.

Special thanks to justin and Airsola on Discord, who have managed to find solutions to various bugs with some of the events implemented on the board. Alongside, most of the elements of the board has been made with the magic of Source Filmmaker.

This is my first custom board, so it's not perfect and may have a few bugs. The AI is not very bright here either. Feel free to report any bugs here.

Overall, it was a charming romp through a custom board! Firstly, I love the Kirby crossover element. It was great to see all the characters all over the place as well as getting to test out all their events to see what they do! Also, due to various events, duels were quite common on the board, but this was actually a nice change of pace from the usual frequency of duels in a board, and they actually felt like a viable strategy during board play.

A few notes though. The board is very linear, and although it's not too large so it doesn't feel like a chore to traverse, it does show its impact once the Star moved into the central area, which is only accessible by Skeleton Key from one point on the board, requiring a player to loop all the way back around to get inside. It caused congestion on the Star spawn, since Lamps weren't really in play either. I think it would be great if this board implemented some warp events (like Warp Stars) that can warp players to specific places on the board, and make them either more common or passing events. Speaking of passing events, the forced passing events' cost-benefit equation is questionable. It's also worth considering changing up the layout of the board to have more junctions so that path decisions can be made. Finally, the events could use updating as some have script errors which may not be compatible on real hardware, as I have Project64 interpreter core on (which emulates that) and I suffered a crash early on. Also, it would be nice if the board background were a bit more angled to see the elements better, and if the characters were scaled up a bit more. Lots of work was made into making a nice background and it's a shame they're not the easiest to see!

All in all, it was an enjoyable experience despite the linear board layout. The multitude of events and duels made it an interesting experience, and I believe the Kirby crossover elements could be enhanced even more!
